Common reactions

Told someone new this week, that my partner is trans.  She said, ‘I really admire you, the way you just talk about it as though it’s the most natural thing.’  She said she told her husband, and he had the common reaction of, ‘so is he gay then.’  She understood enough to say no.  But I explained how I really confuse people when they first meet us as a coulple.  I don’t fit the usual ‘box’, as surely Princess is gay?  A few days later this same woman said I had really given her something to think about.  I asked why.  She said, ‘you don’t meet someone like you everyday.’   I guess you don’t.   And I do love the uniqueness of me.
